I feel very proud to have been so lucky to have had the chance to meet my good friend and great singer trough many years - many times. The ever steady and fantastic bass player in Deep Purple. Always faithfull to his fans trough his long time career in music. Roger has always time for a good chat when we meet, and i just can't wait for the next chance! Ian har spillt med storheter som Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Whitesnake, Gary Moore og mange flere. Med sin spesielle og unike teknikk, har Deep Purple en av verdens beste trommeslagere i stallen. |
Ian Paice is the only reminding member of the original Deep Purple, and has been with the band trough all the years since the start in 1968. Ian has played with big names as Sir Paul McCatney, George Harrison, Whitesnake, Gary Moore and many others. With his special unice tecknic, Deep Purple has one of the best drummers in the world. |

| Da Deep Purple på 90.tallet ble uten gitarist, var det ett navn som sto på de andre medlemmenes papir som var felles: Steve Morse. Kåret til verdens beste gitarist fem år på rad av bladet "Guitar Player" skulle vel si det meste. Steve har også sitt eget band, The Dixie Dregs som han spiller med når anledningene passer seg. Han var også medlem av det kjendte amerikanske bandet Kansas i en periode. Både på jobb og i fritiden dyrker Steve sin store hobby som er flyging, så det gjør ham vel til en slags pilot på både scenen og i luften kanskje...:) | When Deep Purple saw their self without a guitar player in the ninthies, one common name came up on the other members list : Steve Morse. Rated five years in a row for the best guitar player in the world by the "Guitar Player" magazine . Steve has also his own band, The Dixi Dregs, who he playes with on any awailable time. He was also a member of the well known american band Kansas for a period of time. Both on job and vacation, Steve enjoy his great hobby as an aircraft pilot, who again maybe makes him a pilot both on the stage and in the air...:) |

Da Jon Lord ble syk i midten av 2001, ble Don Airey hentet inn for å bistå bandet med keyboards på den tids turne. Etter mange år med Purple og andre utfordringer i hjertet, valgte Jon Lord å si takk for seg til Deep Purple. Så i januar 2003 ble Don Airey ett fullt medlem av Deep Purple. Don har spillt med utallige band og personer. En liste som nesten ikke kan komme på trykk eller skjerm. Men skal man allikevel nevne noen kan vi ta frem Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne og Jethro Tull. For mere info om Don, sjekk ut hjemmesiden på linken over. |
When Jon Lord became sick in the middle of 2001, Don Airey became Purples helping hand on the keyboards. After many years with Purple and other challenges in his heart, Jon Lord chose to leave Deep Purple. So in january 2003, Don Airey became a full member of Deep Purple. Don has played with many bands and people, and here are some of them: Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne and Jethro Tull. Etter en fantastisk tid med Deep Purple, valgte Jon å forlate bandet i 2002 til fordel for egne ønsker og prosjekter. Mange mener vel at Jon fremdeles er et slags "medlem" av bandet, i alle fall i manges hjerter. For oss fans i Norge, er Jon snart tilbake på besøk. Han har tidligere hatt og har fremdeles et godt samarbeid med Trondheims Solistene. PS. Jon er gjesteartist på Maria Arredondos juleplate og på Espen Linds nye plate "Army Of One" Begge to er kjendt for de fleste her til lands. |
After a fantastic decade with Deep Purple, Jon chose to leave the band for his own wishes and projects. Many people see Jon as " a still sort of member" of the band, although in their hearts. Too the fans here in Norway, Jon is soon visiting Trondheim to play in Nidarosdomen Church with his good old friends, The Trondeim Soloists. PS. Jon is guesting on Maria Arredondos Christmas album and Espen Linds new album "Army Of One".( Both well known Norwegian artists ). |
